The planet earth we dwell in serves as a sanctuary for many creatures great or small. It provides nourishments and all means for all creatures to survive. Planting plants is perhaps one of the best ways to keep the planet alive and healthy.
Plants give us food we need to help us obtain nutrients and energy. They provide us with raw materials in the different fields like medicine, construction, cosmetics and clothing. They give us shade and the oxygen we need to live. Without these plants (which is the only living things that produces its own foods through photosynthesis), the earth will be lifeless and barren just like the other planets in the solar system.
Plants are wonderful living creatures and they must be credited with the role they do in the cycle of life. Here are some useful tips and pointers to keep mother earth green and healthy:
Recycle paper: remember that paper is made from the pulp of the trees in the forest and even in our surroundings.
Reuse things around us that use papers such as papers, boxes, wrappers and paper bags. Use the back of your papers or coupon bonds to help us cutback in our reliance on paper.
Adhere to warning signs like, “Don’t Climb Trees,” and “No picking of flowers,” in areas where plants are protected.
Show your desire to help in environmental cause of some public or private groups near you.
Begin to create a mini garden in your backyard. It is also nice to plant trees and vegetables. This way you will able to have nutritious foods and a form of relaxation and exercise.
Report any scrupulous act activities on your place like illegal logging to authorities. The government must only allow only mature trees to be cut down.
Join in tree planting activities which can be fun and at the same time very helpful. By planting trees you will able to replace the trees that were chopped down elsewhere.
Reduce reliance on wood. Only cook when it is necessary and select only the reusable and recyclable materials.
Remember that plants don’t only give us food, clothing, and shelter, it also provides us the air we breathe in, and so it is indeed important to increase their population.
